Con xp, un Sistema Operativo ormai abbandonato da Microsoft risulta tutto più complicato, non voglio invadere il campo, vedo che sei stato aiutato molto da fax, che saluto, secondo me hai qualche rimasuglio o programmi che bloccano, riesci a fare una scansione con Hijack This e postare il log in modo da vedere cos'hai nel pc ?

Anche quel Messenger e altre cose in chat le usava l'utente di prima, a me non interessano e si possono anche togliere se creano problemi, a me basta andare su internet e controllare la posta che, essendo https non riuscirò a vedere quando sarò lontana dal pc fisso, ancora un sentito ringraziamento a chi si prodiga tanto per aiutare gli imbranati come me!!

Come immaginavo nel pc hai un sacco di pasticci.
La cosa più grave è che non hai installato il service pack 3 e questo ti complica molto le cose.
Scarica e installa il SP3 da qui: https://www.microsoft.com/it-it/download/details.aspx?id=24
Clic su Download, il file è abbastanza pesante circa 308Mb ma è molto necessario, leggi le istruzioni di installazione.
Poi hai Internet Explorer 7 puoi mettere I.E. 8 che è migliore, scaricalo da qui:

Hai Firefox vecchissimo vs 4 ora siamo alla 38.0.1, scarica l'ultima vs dal sito ufficiale qui:

Per ora basta così lasciami un po' di tempo per esaminare bene il log, poi ti dico cosa eliminare ci risentiamo questa sera.

Per quanto riguarda il SP3 lo puoi scaricare anche col PC che usi adesso (anche gli altri veramente ma il SP3 è il più importante) e masterizzare su CD (così ti rimane per eventuali necessità future) e installarlo poi su XP malfunzionante.

Allora se vuoi andare tranquillo devi installare il S.P.3 dal momento che i siti https li puoi aprire, però fai come credi.
Mozilla lo puoi scaricare tranquillamente ed è importante, l'ultima vs è totalmente diversa da quella che hai, puoi seguire le indicazioni di fax.

Segui i vari percorsi e rimuovi file e cartelle, il mio è un consiglio poi sta a te decidere.
Se vuoi migliorare ancora il tuo portatile ti indico delle voci da fixare ed eliminare, non ci sono problemi, ecco le indicazioni:

Chiudi tutti i programmi e disconnesso da internet,
Lancia HijackThis e clicca sul secondo pulsante Do a system scan only
inserisci il segno di spunta nel quadratino davanti alle righe sotto indicate, una volta seleziona clicca il tasto Fix checked per procedere all'eliminazione, comparirà una finestra clicca su SI per accettare e l'operazione è conclusa.

Ti preciso che eliminando le voci 04, i programmi non vengono toccati ma viene solo disattivato l'Avvio automatico, inutile......basterebbe solo l'antivirus.

Ricorda che Hijackthis deve essere avviato da una cartella a lui dedicata meglio sul desktop. Solo così Hijackthis creerà copie di backup di quello che viene eliminato prima di apportare modifiche, così in caso di inconvenienti si possono reinstallare.

Poi fai una pulizia con Ccleaner compreso il Registro, per il registro spunta tutte le voci, acconsenti al backup quando richiesto.

Pulire la cartella Prefetch:
Vai in C:\windows\prefetch Cancella tutti i file compresa la cartella ReadyBoot che verrà ricreata, non va cancellato il file layout.ini.
Poi devi installare assolutamente un antivirus, ti darà indicazioni fax.
