Ciao, ho un computer vecchiotto e vorrei sapere come faccio a controllare la temperatura della mia cpu mentre il computer è in funziona. dato che lo lascio in funziona per quasi tutto il giorno. So che , quando la temperatura della cpu sale oltre i 40 gradi, ciò potrebbe danneggiare il computer.
Adopero Ubuntu 11.04.

Ciao, e se sale sopra ai 40°C che fai, ci soffi sopra? :D Scherzi a parte, normalmente le CPU passano tranquillamente i 40°C senza problemi, però ogni CPU ha la sua temperatura consigliata dal produttore e variano anche di parecchio ( da 50° a 100°C). Per sapere qual'è la temperatura critica della tua, dovresti individuare il modello esatto. In ogni caso danneggiare una CPU per surriscaldamento è un evento assai remoto, in quanto si autoproteggono gestendo le ventole, e alla peggio spegnendosi. Monitorare le temperature, specialmente su un PC vecchio, vuol dire costringere la CPU stessa ad un inutile lavoro aggiuntivo. La cosa cambia invece se hai già avuto problemi di blocco improvviso del PC o spegnimenti non motivati; in tal caso il monitoraggio delle temperature potrebbe essere utile per fini diagnostici. Sono cosi avanti che quando guardo indietro vedo il futuro.
