Ciao a tutti!
Mi padre continuava a lamentarsi che il suo netbook è particolamente lento e macchinoso, allora, dopo aver effettivamente verificato la scarsa velocità, ho deciso di rivolgermi a voi come mi è stato consigliato da un amico.
Il computer ha installato Windows XP home edition e come antivirus McAfee.
Qualsiasi consiglio che possa migliorare le prestazioni sarà benaccetto!

è successa una cosa strana:
ho riavviato hijackthis per fixare la voce che mi hai detto però nel log nuovo non l'ho più trovata! è possibile?
posto il nuovo log e nel frattempo scarico avenger per proseguire con la procedura che mi hai indicato.

anche a me sembra che il file che dice essere mancante non c'entra con quello che mi hai detto di cancellare.. ma io ho solo fatto copia-incolla, non mi sono messo a cambiare le righe di codice!

Evidenzia gli elementi trovati da malwarebyts e premi "Rimuovi elementi selezionati".

rimuovi mozilla e installa la nuova versione molto piu' veloce e sicura

scarica ccleaner

durante l’installazione deseleziona l’opzione per la barra di Yahoo, lo apri, vai in Opzioni>Avanzate, togli la spunta a “Cancella file temp diwindows solo se più vecchi di 48 ore”, poi avvialo, seleziona "Analizza" ed alla fine dell'analisi premi "Avvia pulizia''

clicca su Registro, nella pagina successiva clicca Trova problemi, poi al termine dello scan clicca su Ripara selezionati , risposndi di sì alla richiesta di salvare il backup (salvalo in una cartella a piacimento) poi ripara tutti gli elementi trovati.

Avvia ATF Cleaner.exe con un doppio click

- aspetta l'avviso Done Cleaning.

fai una deframmentazione come descritto qui

fammi sapere se il pc continua ad essere lento dopo queste operazioni

Ho fatto quasi tutte le operazioni che mi hai detto (la deframmentazione è ancora in corso) e mi sembra che le prestazioni siano un po' migliorate.
Nel frattempo volevo chiederti un paio di altre cose:
Dato che il contratto di McAfee mi scade tra 15 giorni volevo passare ad un antivirus free, quale mi consigli? Per rimuore McAfee devo seguire una qualche procedura particolare?

Per cercare di risolvere quei pop up che mi appaiono all'avvio mi conviene disinstallare e reinstallare acrobat? Oppure non posso farci niente e li devo lasciare così?

prova a rimuoverlo da pannello di controllo, se vuoi eliminare tutte le tracce puoi usare questo tool

come antivirus ti consiglio avira free che puoi scaricare da qui

scusa di quali pop up parli? intanto prova a togliere un po' di voci che partono all'avvio di windows ne guadagni anche di velocita'

da start esegui scrivi nel box bianco msconfig e dai ok... vai nel tab avvio e togli la spunta a quello che non serve, ricorda di lasciare la spunta al tuo antivirus

hai installato qualche software di recente? prova a fare una scansione con combofix dovrebbe risolvere il tuo problema

scaricalo da qui e mettilo sul desktop

clicca su start>esegui, nel box bianco copia e incolla questo comando, virgolette comprese:

"%userprofile%\desktop\combofix.exe" /killall

Premi OK, se tutto va bene parte il programma che potrebbe impiegare molto (non fare altre manovre durante la scansione),una volta terminata la scansione, riavvia il computer e posta il reprot C:\combofix.txt

non riesco a capire cos'e' quel pop up prova a cliccare su annulla e vedi se trovi il log in C come combofix.txt

rimuovi anche avenger dal pc

Ah per quanto riguarda i software installati da poco mi viene in mente solo avira, ma il problema del pop up è nato precedentemente.. cioè dopo aver usato avenger!
