Apri HJT in modalità provvisoria e fixa questa voce:

Poi scarica Malwarebytes lo aggiorni e fai una scansione COMPLETA, non rapida, elimina quello che trova.
Fai sapere come va il PC.

Ciao, fixa ed elimina questa voce che prima non c'era:
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://search.conduit.com?SearchSource=10&ctid=CT2530241
Fai una pulizia con Ccleaner Registro compreso.
Poi vai in C:\Windows cerca la cartella Prefetch, la apri e elimina tutto il contenuto, non eliminare la cartella.
Se non ti serve proprio io eliminerei anche la Toolbar di Softonic.
Il pc è ancora lento?

ops...dei file presenti nella cartella prefetch, ce ne sono 4 con estensione .pf che se cerco di eliminarli si replicano e ne generano altri..sempre nella stessa cartella helpp

No tamagon la cartella si può svuotare tranquillamente come in XP.
Bisogna comunque precisare una cosa, la cartella in oggetto si deve svuotare solamente in presenza di infezioni
per eliminare tutte le tracce lasciate, infatti in questa cartella vengono salvati i riferimenti ai file
recentemente usati dall'utente. Se invece il pc non ha problemi, la cartella non serve svuotarla, perchè il suo contenuto serve a velocizzare l'apertura delle applicazioni che si usano comunemente.
Poi come in tutte le cose occorre un certo equilibrio perchè se i file nella cartella sono troppi si avrà una velocizzazione dell'apertura delle applicazioni ma un rallentamento all'avvio e viceversa.

I file con estensione .pf sono i prefetch creati da XP, si replicano ogni volta che si usa un'applicazione, è normale,
anche svuotando la cartella i file si riformeranno sempre.

La svuoti, poi finchè il pc va bene la lasci stare.
Dimmi se il pc è ancora lento.

ma il pc è lento in internet oppure quando ci lavori ? ..... hai mai fatto una deframmentazione ? ( pulendo prima tutto )

Ha ragione tamagon:
La cartella prefetch di Windows Vista, NON và svuotata completamente.
Essa contiene anche il file di sistema :layout.ini
Per cui, esso non và eliminato.
E la cartella prefetch, si può svuotare, indipendentemente, da un pc infetto, oppure no.
Il miglior sistema, per svuotare la cartella prefetch, è CCleaner, mettendo la spunta in "Vecchi dati prefetch".
Così si eviteranno errori.

grazie r16 per la precisazione, avevo letto in qualche sito che svuotarla non dava problemi, devo ammettere che io uso XP e quindi mi sono fidato, mi servirà per un'altra volta.

visto che hai molti programmi in esecuzione all'accensione ...personalmente eliminerei la spunta a quelli che non usi !
